Creating a polished podcast from an idea takes time and follows a step-by-step process. From planning your content to recording, editing, and launching, each phase works together to bring your vision to life in a way that feels professional and engaging.
At Forge Apollo Studio, we guide you through recording, editing, and final distribution with a smooth podcast production process. We handle every detail, from shaping your content to designing a set that reflects your podcast’s tone. Here’s how we bring your podcast from idea to published episode.
Step 1: Pre-Production
During pre-production, our producers and crew collaborate with each client to design a set that reflects the tone and vision of their podcast, like the custom setup we created for Prevention Pioneers.
We also plan key production details. This includes how many people will be on camera and which recording schedule works best. In many cases, we record several episodes in a single day to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
We can also plan out talking points for the episode ahead of time for the hosts, helping the conversation flow naturally and stay on track. When needed, we can also brainstorm podcast names and develop episode ideas to fully bring your concept to life.
Step 2: Recording
All you need to do on production day is show up ready to record. Our team handles all technical details from start to finish, so you can stay focused on your message and performance. On top of that, we record both audio and video versions to give you full flexibility with your content.
The experience doesn’t stop there. Our studio is located in Newtown Square, with no city traffic to deal with, plus a large parking lot, snacks, bathrooms, and everything else you might need to feel comfortable.
Plus, we even have a lounge area where members of your team who aren’t in the episode can hang out, relax, and watch the production come to life.
Step 3: Post-Production
During post-production, our team edits and mixes both the video and audio versions of the episode. You’ll then have a chance to review everything and request any edits you’d like. From there, we write the episode description, create the thumbnail artwork, and can also help come up with a title based on keyword research to reach the maximum possible volume.
We also create short cut-down clips in 16:9 for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts to help promote the episode. For example, with Spirence, we usually make five clips per episode. One is a teaser that goes out before release, and the other four are posted on release day and over the next few days to keep promoting the episode and drive more views.
Here’s an example of a Prevention Pioneers podcast episode on YouTube. We also posted it on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Step 4: Distribution
For distribution, we handle posting your episode across all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and more. We also manage the hosting process behind the scenes—uploading your podcast to platforms like RedCircle, Libsyn, and others so it can be properly distributed everywhere.
Before the release date, we share teaser clips on social media to help build engagement and reach new audiences. We also write and publish a blog on our client’s website for the Podcast Episode, using relevant keywords to help the episode get discovered in search results.

What You Need for Podcast Production
To create a successful podcast, we recommend bringing a few key elements to help shape the direction and quality of your show. These are the foundations that allow your podcast to stand out and connect with your audience:
- Try not to be nervous – let your personality shine through. Try to forget you will be on camera and be recorded. Think of the podcast like you’re having coffee with one of your best friends.
- Create talking points ahead of time so you don’t forget to mention them in the moment.
- Make notes ahead of time for your guests so you don’t forget key questions or ideas
